Volunteers play an important role in the Beenleigh Historical Village and Museum’ collections department and there are many opportunities to suit a wide range of interests and expertise. Current volunteer roles available include:

  • Collections Officers – assist in developing collections through accessioning and deaccessioning of collections items, as well as the maintenance of current collections and displays. We currently need help with auditing our collections items.
  • Assistant Curators – help in researching, creating and setting up exhibitions. We particularly need individuals with strong research and computer skills to source historical information relating to displays.
  • Painters – Collections currently requires individuals who are skilled at painting walls and basic maintenance.
